Another Sugar Skull layout.

Hello all there are so many beautiful new pieces of chipboard available on the site .
I  have had fun with a reverse canvas, with a fabulous photo of my grand daughter taken in Mexico. This photo just suited the sugar skull chipboard and stencil.

I have taken a canvas, reversed it and worked on the inside of the canvas making a 3 dimensional piece.

I have  added to the front on of the memorymaze fences, and tree, and filled the inside with ink dyed  cotton .

I have used several memorymaze stencils on the background to create the effect of a parkland,
and several flourishes to the outside of the frame,to create a 3d garden effect, using hand made paper flowers.

Thanks for taking the time to look , share with your friends

Sugar Skull Art

I was really excited when I got this sugar Skull in my Design team kit.
I had the perfect challenge to use it with too. Over on the Artastic blog.

I used some old basic grey accents to Jazz him up and add colour and a lovely 3D frame for the photo.

Thanks for looking

Treasure layout by Tania

Hi everyone. Today I'm back here with a layout, using some great Chipboard pieces and a stencil from Memory Maze. My layout is recording a pic of my little man, who is now 11 years old. I love this photo, which captures his entire personality. He has always been a smiler!!

I started out with a watercolour paper background, and added some watered down Distress Ink with a large brush. I used 2 different shades of grey.
Then I grabbed this cool mini stencil:

MINI STENCILS 100 X 100 NO 5 WIRE X 5

MINI STENCILS 100 X 100 NO 5 WIRE X 5
Using the stencil with more Distress inks and Oxide ink, I dabbed colour onto the background in a diamond shape.
Once that was dry, I did some background stamping over the patterns.

My photo was cut into a circle using a die cutting machine and I painted up this awesome Chipboard frame, using Distress Paints.

I attatched the background paper to black cardstock and added a strip of cool, embossed cardstock from Bella, (that's been in my stash forever!!)
Once I worked out placement of my photo and frame, I did some stamping with some little quote stamps from Kaszazz, then added the photo and frame.

My other little chipboard piece was painted with Distress Paints, and used as my title. You can find some cool mini words here:

This is how it all came together. I used minimal embellishments, as I wanted the chipboard frame and photo to take centre stage!

Thanks for joining us on the blog today, happy creating!!!

Got to love Christmas- by Leanne Nankervis

Hi Everyone!
Leanne back to share another project with you today, using Memory Maze Chipboard products.
Today I'm sharing a Christmas layout, yes December is not that far away. Back in July school holidays, we took the kids to Sovereign hill at Ballarat for Christmas in July. It was so spectacular especially the light show at night. The whole township was transformed into these beautiful lights, really something well worth seeing was very cold as well, lucky all those fire pits were burning to keep you nice and warm, and the snow falls though not real added to the atmosphere.

Layout
Got to Love Christmas

close up of page one I used the Memory Maze Got to Love Christmas title, which I embossed in white and Used Lindys Embossing powder in purple for the heart. I also used the small chipboard Christmas tree with title, I inked with distress ink and added some silver dots to the tree with metallic paint.

Close up of second layout, I used the Memory Maze Love, Magic, Believe, Christmas. Which I embossed in the same white embossing powder, I did the star and the bottom of the title in silver embossing powder.

{riss & chels)

Hello everyone - Kylie here I hope you are inspired by my post today...

For this layout I have used a 12" Marshmallow for the background I altered with blue and green water colours, I added a triangle piece of patterned paper which matched perfectly.

To embellish I added a gorgeous Hambly transparency which I journaled on with a posca black pen, some gauze which I dyed green, fluro yellow embroidery thread, some wash tape and random cardstock stickers. The title "Rissole & Chels" is gel alphas and a glitter "&" thickers....

And of course to finish the layout off I have added an awesome piece of Memory Maze chipboard - Wrought Iron 5 98 x58

To alter the wrought iron chipboard piece I have used the awesome Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks - Fairy Wings

Once the piece is all painted and dry - I adhered underneath my photo, I just love how the layout turned  out.....

Hope you love this layout as much as I do!

{dina and Me}

Hi there - thanks of stopping by the Memory Maze blog today I hope you are inspired by my upload .......

I created this layout using a photo of the fabulous Dina Wakley and myself after attending one of Dina's awesome classes.

The Memory Maze chipboard used was Flourish 2 -m170 x 145

I decide to emboss this chipboard piece using white embossing powder

I embossed with two layers to get a thick glossy accent - and
once the process was complete and the chipboard dry I adhered onto my layout.

I have used a kraft 12" as the background, layered with an altered piece of marshmallow cardstock using colour blast powders and texture piece with a stencil, the second layers pattern paper and the third is hessian. To embellish the layout I have added stickers, stamps, gauze and epoxy dots. The finishing touches are the doodling around the edges of the layout.

I just loved how it turned out......

Hope you found some inspiration......

Make a Wish, tag, by Tania

Hi again, hope you all had a lovely weekend! Today I have a small project for you, a gift tag, using one of the Memory Maze Stencils and a gorgeous chipboard piece!

I coloured my chipboard with a blend of Metallic Embossing powders, for an antique look.

The Rose and leaves stencil, used along with Distress Oxide inks, made a beautiful, soft background!

To add another layer to my background, I partial stamped some hexagons in Black archival ink, then went around the edges with a blending tool and Distress ink.

My tag then needed some dimensional layers. I added a patterned paper strip, some ribbon and die cuts, before adding the chipboard piece. Then finished it off with some brads, a Tim Holtz phrase sticker and ribbon at the top!

Thanks for looking!
See you next time!
